See who takes your clicks, and how to win them back
Your real competitors in search are often not the businesses you'd guess. Climber shows the sites that actually rank for the searches you want, which of their pages bring the traffic, and the keywords they rank for that you don't.
Scan my site for free| Site | Type | Avg. position |
|---|---|---|

| reddit.com | Community | #2.2 |
| eater.com | Food media | #7 |
| yelp.com | Directory | #11.7 |
Your search competitors, by keyword
Climber finds the domains that rank across the keywords you care about, with their average position and estimated traffic. For brightloaf.com, the sites taking “best bakery in Austin” searches were Reddit, food blogs and directories, not rival bakeries.
It then pulls what each competitor ranks for, so you can see the pages and topics that bring them traffic. feastio.com, for example, ranks #1 for “bakeries” with a single /austin-bakeries/ roundup page.
The keyword gap, in one table
Pick up to three competitors and Climber lists the keywords they rank for in the top 20 where your site doesn't rank at all, with volume, difficulty, their position and the exact page that ranks. Difficulty is capped at what your site can realistically win.
Next to it, each competitor's top pages by estimated traffic show which page types and topics carry their search traffic, with the keywords each page ranks for.
Inspiration, never copying
Competitor data shows which topics and page types win. Climber uses it to find gaps you can fill with your own expertise, and it's instructed never to copy another site's content.
Questions
- Can I check any competitor?
- Yes. Name a domain in the chat and Climber pulls what it ranks for. It doesn't need to be added as a site.
- Is the traffic number exact?
- No. Estimated traffic is calculated from rankings and search volumes, so treat it as a comparison between sites, not an exact visitor count.
